Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send to their device (computer, smartphone, tablet) where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same site on subsequent visits. They perform various functions: making navigation more efficient, remembering preferences, analyzing usage behavior, etc.
| Category | Purpose | Examples / notes |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary / technical cookies | enable the website to function and deliver the requested service | for example session maintenance, language preferences, system cookies |
| Performance / analytics cookies | collect aggregated data on website usage (pages visited, time, errors, etc.) | Google Analytics (with anonymized IP) |
| Functionality cookies | allow the website to remember choices made by the user (e.g. language, font size) | if present |
| Targeting / profiling cookies | used to send advertising messages in line with user preferences | if the site uses targeted advertising (currently not indicated) |
Currently (or to be implemented) by the site:
Google Analytics: used to collect statistics on traffic and user behavior. The information collected is on an anonymous / aggregated basis (e.g. IP anonymization).
Strictly necessary technical cookies: to maintain the session, manage the cookie banner, user preferences.
Upon first access to the site, a banner will be displayed informing the user of the use of cookies and requesting consent (except for strictly necessary cookies).
The user can:
accept all cookies (except non-optional technical cookies),
refuse/select them (opt-out),
modify preferences at any time through a “Cookie Preferences” panel visible on the home page / footer.
Users can also manage cookie preferences by modifying browser settings (disable all or some cookies, receive alerts).
Each browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) allows you to configure settings.
Note: disabling technical cookies may compromise the functioning of parts of the site.
The site may include content or scripts from third parties (e.g. Google Analytics). These third parties may install their own cookies.
For Google Analytics, Google’s policies apply.
We recommend consulting the data processing information of such third parties (e.g. Google’s privacy policy).
Users may at any time modify or withdraw their consent through the dedicated cookie banner / panel.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal.
Rossano Scontini may update the Cookie Policy to comply with regulatory or technological changes.
The updated version will be published with the last modification date and, if necessary, new consent will be requested.
